F117 Nighthawk

Our RC Foamboard model of the game-changing stealth machine

The F-117 Nighthawk was the world's first stealth aircraft, marking a new era in military aviation where the focus shifted from traditional design parameters such as speed, manoeuvrability, and others, to radar cross-section (RCS).

The F-117 model in our club is made of foamboard and operates using elevons for control in flight. When flown correctly, it can attain speeds over 130 kilometres per hour and its dive speeds have yet to be tested. The F-117 is a standout in our club as the fastest aircraft with the best roll rate, thanks to its large control surfaces and low moment of inertia along the z-axis. It is also capable of performing aerobatics such as high angle passes, snap turns, and more.
